soft turtle, the link isn't working

Copy/paste into your address bar...the bottom picture certainly does look like 'him' when younger.

He'd be a real terror @ 14"!...he's already the fastest & smartest fish in the tank by a good margin. Even @ his current 4.5-5" length he can swallow things the size of a Yugo.

Wow...that one's about an exact match!
Remember, that that fish would look totally different comfortably swimming in a fish tank. Since the link didn't work I'll just post the pics I wanted you to see.
The first is a juv. Xingu I - Orange pike
The second is an adult male Xingu I (note the color change)

You can see the the tail spot and the black "trim" around the dorsal, tail and anal fin. This is why I assume yours is a Xingu I (that and its availability). It is one of the more common pikes, which is great, becuase it is one of the cooler pikes.

These pics are from Mostly Cichlids (a GREAT SITE for crenicichla I.D. and facts) http://www.geocities.com/NapaValley/5491/index.html

Big time color changes. The juvs can even be red or yellow instead of the orange. The adults are pretty variable also.

Definately not atabapo II..haha...especially since its from PetSmart....lol. I wanna say its xingu I but its got the verticle bars of xingu II, the glare from the camera is messin me up. Can you get some more pictures of it? Does it have the tear drop below the eye? It does look a lot like the xingu II's i have right now...
