Secondly it is a fact that the Gator will be a good size larger than the Florida Gar and in a fairly short time. It's a mix that i personally would not want to risk. I'm sure it can and has worked for people, but the horror stories that i have heard about Gator Gars eating/killing tankmates makes it not worth it to me. I love Gators, but they are brutes and demand a ton of respect.
