The only canister I have are 3 H.O.T. magnums.......there is going to be a sale on eheim's here coming up soon and hopefully I'll get at least one.......

I run Aquaclears and Eheims on my tanks. I'm tempted to try a Rena Filstar as well though. The thing I really like about the Eheims is how quiet they are. How do the Renas compare?
I read a lot of people stating the XP's are easier to maintain than the fluvals. Could someone elaborate on this? I am not sure what makes them easier to maintain. As for me, I run 4- 404s and a 204 without problems. I maintain a tank for a guy who has an eheim. I am not thrilled with the disconnects or the metal tabs used to secure it. I don't like that you have to remove each layer to get to the layer underneath. At least the baskets in other canisters make this easy to do.
i run a xp3 on my 75, i like it easy to prime, holds a lot of media and i havent had any loss of flow rate from clogging or anything
