Hey guys,
What filtration would you recomend for a 130 tank. It will house some smaller bichirs, kelberi, datnoid, etc. What kind of filtration would you recomend for this tank.

I've consider dual FX5, but that would be a crapload of money even for used ones... any odd type brands I could get for cheaper, or would you guys just recommend the FX5's? Or something entirely different? All input appreciated.

i have 2 rena xp 4's on my 120. you could get 2 ac110's for about $150. both of them would be almost half the turn over rate as 2 fx5's. lots of media in the xp4s tho. you could build your own sump also and customize it to how you want it. and that would be fairly inexpensive

If you do go with the FX5 just get one, you really shouldn't need a 14x turnover. For a cheaper alternative, I'd get two xp4's which would put you at around a 7x turnover, or maybe just an xp4 and an xp3 depending on your waterchange schedule.

Question-

Which of these filtration combos would you guys recommend. Keep in mind this tank will be lightly stocked.

-2 Ac110s
-1 Rena xp3, 1 Ac110
-1 Fx5
-Other

What's your budget?

I'd be willing to spend around $200 at the max...

I'm leaning towards the Ac110 + Rena xp3 combo, so around $150 there I guess.

a canister and a hob makes for good water movement....i have a fluval 405 and ac110 on my 125 works great
