I have no experience with the new marineland canisters but absoulutely hated the magnum 350 I had was crap unless used just for water polishing and it clogged easily.

Id recomend eheim 2217 or rena xp3 as I have both and like both

The eheim 2217 is the best value currently. Comes complete with media for around 135 bucks.

I have seen the Penn-Plax 700 in action in an lfs that I go to in Memphis, TN, and the owner told me that is the simplest to work with and definitely does the job, so I would go with that.

what do you think is better two bio wheel 200's or canister filter?

personally i would do canister just because of how easy and cheap it is to clean them. BUT biowheels have very good bio filtration because of oxygen getting in and always moving. eheim if you even get a canister

Rena xp3, fluval 405, eheim 2217, or marineland C360 are the 3 best I think. Or you could get a little extra filtration an buy a FX5. I think JohnPTC (a guy on this site) sells them for $200.

eheim 2217 is the one i am leaning twords, just for the price, and its gonna be more than enough to filter my tank

anyone got hook ups?
