Did anyone in your neighborhood (even the crackheads), know you had these fish? I doubt a random burglar or even the crackheads would have equipment to take fish, and even if they did, what would they do with them? Its not like they know the value and have a place to sell them to. I still believe its someone you know. Its funny, cause it might even be someone closer than you think.
About 2 years ago I had a similar experience. But it wasn't with fish. I had about $2000 worth of video games stolen. Turns out it was a brother of a girl I was seeing at the time.

Thats terrable !!!! Nobody i mean nobody would bother taking the fish unless they are hobbiest ..And dumb ones at that with the stress they caused those fish if it took more than a few minutes for them to get where they were going those fry died!!!!!!Sorry man !!
i questioned family that i live with even my wife..wait..i totally forgot..i live at my grandmas house becuz she wants to be close to her first grandchild (my 1st born 10 months old now) and she has gardners that come..she mentioned to me the other day the gardner pointed out that he really liked all my fish and tanks..and they were here yesterday..only way he could have seen them is i leave the shed door open to air it out otherwise it gets really hot in there..time to corner the gardners..they come tomorrow around 3pm..suppose to atleast..i'll make up a story that i got him on video and c what happends..idk y i dident think of this earlier..cuz most actually all my friends live atleast a hour to two hours away..so i doubt they will drive that far knowing i am home around that time..

And, I would hope your friends would never do that to you. Thats awesome you remembered the gardners. Definitely say you have them on camera. And say if they give all (or most) of the stuff back you won't call the cops or something. Because unless you have hard evidence the cops won't go search their house or anything. The best you could do is get some off the stuff back
