Yeah I mean at least at home its possible to monitor and control environmental pollutants or chemicals used for water conditioning, whereas with farmraied fish or even local river and lake fish you have no idea. They say you even gotta watch some ocean fish due to mercury or chemical poisoning. Fish with deformities are caught out of local waters regularly. And in a home maintained system you don't have river traffic, farmers, or corporations and industrial plants draining or using water for cooling purposes. It seems possible and the only reason I ever said pacu is cuz them suckers grow! And their diet is extremely easy to maintain even on a larger scale. I honestly bet if you cooked up a wild caught one and a home raised one a regular guy couldn't tell

Considering i've seen my fish have IPs in the past i would almost definitely not want to risk it... not to mention eating a puffer is probably more deadly than any IPs or nasties i may have in my tank water...
