Sandelia bainsii Max size: 14" South Africa. It is basically a more ancient secluded ctenopoma both critically endangered and rarely seen in the hobby. Thank you everyone for your input
Lol I know that's why I put the precursor I maybe mistaken on every account. Sorry for misleading clues I suppose I was thinking out loud. I'd love to get some and set a species tank to breed but I wouldn't know the first thing to find them.
If you do ever find them send me a shout. I've been looking into Africa and I REALLY want fish from there.
