Local residents weren't impressed. They'd been fishing all morning and caught nothing, and Bob turned up and caught one first cast!
"This river must be stuffed with fish, I can here them splashing about in the shallows behind me. I think I'm in for a good days fishing!!!!"

Agreed. If he held it to his chest it'd be about 6" long, lol. But all anglers do this, it's an angling law to make your fish look bigger than it is. But the one that got away is by far ALWAYS the biggest, lol.
Lol that's true but as someone with a lot of "One that got away" stories I will testify that a big fish is much harder to land than a small so it kinda makes sense.
