Don't worry Deebo and Big Worm sharing a 240 right now with their ghetto girls Felisha and Cookie, and remember one of them going into a 900 and other will be left in the 240!!!

She looks to be doing a great job for her first time.

She really is. She wont let Congo near them. She such a different fish. Night and day. She used to be Congo's rag doll.

We have a tournament coming up in Centralia soon. I'll bring some fry if timing works out ;-)

Congrats!! I recommend dividing the pair since she's acting like that. They will continue raising fry they divider but this way you wake up to a dead fish and or all the fry.

I second this! I did this the first couple time I spawned my Guatape male, they raised the fry together but were divided so he couldn't beat on her.

Small update. Fry are doing well. The fry with the pair are growing faster than the ones by themselves. I feed them the same, but the big tank has a grip load of algae so they're constantly grazing.

Female has darkened up a bit and the pair has been doing well. She protects, he patrols. ;-)
