Ik how you feel, I really searched high and low for 2.5 years straight. I'm pretty good at getting spawns, but I plan on one more week of prazipro after I do a 50% water change 2moro and than I will more than Likey move my red tapajos out of my 75 and raise the spectablis w/ my heroina and heros sp inridae. I think they will do well together, although the heroinas can be nasty. I would aslo like to get some of Gage's blood to mix w/ mine. Ik Dan at COA had a pair to. I nagged him too, lol. I love Dan.

Keep me posted!

Thanks Fishman. :) I have recently acquired a pair also. The male was much larger than the female and far to aggressive at this time. So I have my male in my 125 community, and the female is putting on some size in the 400.

Gage has been trying to get his Spectabilis to spawn for, I swear, 2 years now. I got tired of waiting for him. LOL From what I have witnessed, my male is quite aggressive. He hates the larger Bocourti, and Atro.

Here are a few pics of mine:

They look great.

Be warned about the Heroina... I finally found out what was killing my 4" Heroina in my 150 gallon. They were dive-bombing my Orinoco Heros severus pair and the male severus attacked back. That severus mouth can do a lot of damage. He has ripped open the sides of two of the three Heroina. One died the next day and the other died after four or so days, despite me treating it for infection and quarantining it. I don't necessarily think the Heroina do much damage to other fish, but they will gladly go after other fish. When the other fish retaliate, you may lose some of your Heroina. :(

Damn bro how many are left? Mine are pigs and coloring up. Mostly the rotkeils square of w/ the heros inridae in that tank.

I have one larger one in my 150 and seven smaller ones in a 55. Did you get the larger or smaller ones? My smaller ones only seem to squabble with each other, but the larger ones gladly go after my severums and Krobia. I also saw him trying to attack my Acaronia yesterday but the Acaronia pushed back. It's pretty clear that I'm probably going to have to make my Heroina tank a species-only tank, maybe with some hardy dithers or something.

Idk which size, but they are 4 inch and a bit bigger now. My baby krobia are growing like roots too.

Did I post in the wrong thread? I thought this was about the Spectabilis. Did I miss something?
