car brush - tool or accessory?

I can't recall how the debate came up, but figured I would ask and see what people's general opinion of this product is.

The car brush. Designed for a few simple purposes only. Do you view it as an accessory or a tool? If you live somewhere where there's snow 6+ months of the year, you know first hand how life saving this object can be.

This is simple. No argument. Accessory, it's not truly needed.

Option A- Man up and use your hand
Option B- Use the feminine option of a brush
