Carnivorous Mini-Predator

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not to hijack, but if you have a pond snail problem, setting up a 10g puffer tank is an awesome solution! My figure-eight has given me hours of enjoyment tearing the crap out of mollusks...

Even gave him a hitchhiking zoanthid spider!

what's the LxWxH of the 38? You could be able to put a single RBP in it for a good year at least. by then you could talk your parents into letting you have the bigger tank.

Naw, it already has fishes in it.

Im still in high school and i got a 55, 140, 15, 2x10's, 4x6's and a 1500g pond, so whats your excuse:D
Hmmm....well I have parents that don't really like fish too much, and lack of money, and I have a bunch of other hobbies too that I have to support. We can't all be as lucky as you. :grinno:

BTW...your title crackz me up. Aren't most predators carnivorous? LoL!
Well, depends who your talking too. If you you were talking to a zucchini, than a predator would be herbivorous. ;)

A leopard ctenopoma would be awesome. Just put it in the 38. Thats a 3 foot tank, right?

Yeah man I would go with a dwarf puffer or some exodons.

You could go with a spotted puffer or perhaps a needle fish. Or a shoal of exodons.
GSPs need at least 30G, and aren't freshwater.

I'm 16 and I have 1G, 5G, 10G, 10G, 20G, 25G, 55G, and 100G. BogwoodBruce owns all teens for ]V[ tanks though ;)

A Modestus Puffer would be cool.
I would go with the A. Silus, since it is smaller. Neither of them are very aggressive, though. I have a 20G with an A. Silus.

Dwarf Puffers are very small and agressive. Monster attitude in a small package!

Dwarf Puffers:

true but as soon as i get a job in the local lfs i plan on giving bruce a run for his money:D

If the 20 tank is 3ft id go with channa bleheri if not exodons or dwarf puffers, also depending on what fish are in the planted tank you could put in a senegal bichir.
