Those look slightly nicer. What percentage of your fry have pearls, out of curiosity?

"Slightly nicer"....?lol:nutkick: Stop brow beating me. I am not the rainman. There are hundreds of them in many tanks.

I'm just giving you a hard time. :D I've actually been curious as to what the pearlless fry would look like grown out a bit, so keep us updated for sure. At 3.5", I think the lower grade fry my friend has from my batch still look the same, grey. I'm interested in what a 8 or 9 inch version of the same fish would look like, if it'd get any color or not.

I am curious as well...You would think a hot pink fish, and a fish with neon green spots MUST be able to make something. I am not sure any of them would stay grey...Red devils, and baby parrots look the same plain drab grey, and we all know what they turn into. So we will see.

I guess it all depends on what kind of fish you're going for. In my case, I wanted Red Texas, so I culled all the fish without pearls. I figured even if some pearlless ones would've faded, if I want an orange fish without pearls, I'd go with a Midas or something with more shape than a carpinte. If a pearlless one got really really orange, I'd be interested in seeing a picture. So here's hoping you get some faders!
