Just sharing pics of my male Carpintis. It was given to me as an Escondido by a reputable member here. The pics don't do him justice. He's a lot more blue/green in person. He's very close to 10" now and has a very tall body.

. He's in a 100 G tank by himself. I'm looking for a small female for him.
Very nice indeed, i have a group of 6 at 2 inch, hopefully they will be just as pretty at fullsize 
To small female is a easy kill, carpints are pretty argressive fish, i would buy the biggest female i could find.

I tried an 8" female and it did not work out. My plan is to put a divider in the tank with holes big enough for the female to access both departments. I've had success breeding cichlids with this.
