Cat growth thread

Male may be a bore but his pattern is quite nice. The vulture was getting feisty with the jags lol. That jur is gorgeous. Looking good. Makes me want some small cats. I always wanted a chaca chaca. But they may not do well with tankmates. Don't want to risk my jag.

I know it wont last long but has of now the two females run the show lmaooo the bulldoze the jur and vulture around when food is present the male doesnt even bother mixing it up intil they've calmed down.

One pleasant surprise with the jur is not have to target feed.
Im slowly dropping food further and further away and its seeking it out. Not to far from its spot but getting better as time goes by

Cant thank you guys enough for spending the time answering the 1000 questions i had. I couldnt be more happier with the small cat comm. ESPECIALLY THE JUR. I feel like the the H.platyrhynchos is going to be a perfect fit.

Little hemisorubim platyrhynchos is doing well, getting a tad bit more social but thankfully is eating chopped tilapia twice a day, wont touch pellets so ive been mashing them into the tilapia.

Soo tiny though smh

Jur has such a great appetite. I havent had to really spit feed but have beem dropping the food in his area...sort of and he eats fine. If the lights are off he'll seek out food. Starve them yesterday so to try and get them all hungry enough to feed with the lights on

Some update pics and vids.

Im surprised at how shy the vulture has been acting. Hopefully this will change as it grows. Eating like a champ still. I assumed that they were full of activity based off of what i read and how it acted the 1st couple of weeks.

The h.platyrhynchos is getting more bold as time goes in and has filled out a bit but not a ton of growth. Planning on upping the wc's along with feedings.
