Haha smh, I just grabbed a headphone cord and swayed back in front of the tank and they went berserk. So funny. If the top of my tank didn't have those dividers for the glass top I would totally make a little toy for them and swim it around in the tank. A little exercise is good right lol.

I thought about it, but I don't feel like maintaining and paying for 2 large tanks. Cuz I do plan on having another grow out eventually.

Funny you should say that! I was just about to say that my first datnoid used to chase my cat's toy, one of those simple wire ones with the little cardboard twisties.
 
Are you guys forgeting that Cichla is one of the most, if not the most persevering Sport fish?

When he think ''I will chase this ****ing bait'', he usually just stop when its in his mouth or out of the water..

I dont think its bad for him since he dont crash with the aquarium walls.

Yes, yes, absolutely peacock bass love enrichment!!

Bloop and her hybrid buddy get to watch WordWorld and Sesame Street youtube clips on the laptop. The longest I've seen them watch is about 15 minutes, which is pretty incredible in terms of attention span for teenagers. They go for the laser pointers and the feather/sparkly toys at the end of sticks, too.

I got them one of those little Aquabot fish and they figured it out after five seconds, little brats.

Mine go after anything that goes by tank. I dropped the foil insert on the blood worm pack thry rushed at it on way down outside the tank. Even windex spray on outside also.

No fish were harmed during the making of this video lol. Jiggin rapala on my ice fishing rod OUTSIDE of the tank. They go nuts with this along with windex, paper towels, food falling from my hand & basically anything near the glass.
