Catfish Checklist

SOunds good people. :) looking back through this makes me want to get some fish lol. I do have several planned. Geeze if only I had a few extra grand lying around.
 
I love fishing for catfish, and keeping them is fun too. Amazing fish!

Flathead catfish are my favorite and I have had a few this is my current one

My other catfish right now is a porthole shovelnose catfish

I have also kept black and yellow bullheads, channel cats, RTC, TSN, various Cory cats.

Looks good. How big is your flathead. Mine is now 15" and growing fast in my indoor pond/bedstand lol. :) You can probably see my thread below this one.

Hmm lol need to stay in touch with you for the future. If you dont have rroom for more just make aure youvare practicing catch and release.:) they are awesome fish. If u keep them together please keep us informed on how they interact bad or good. :)

Oh believe me I am huge on catch and release. I target flatheads and release everyone I catch. I keep a few babies on occasion for the tank. I will more than likely look at them to see which one has better mottling an then release the other. I may give it to someone to if they would appreciate it.

Mums the word on releasing fish that you have put into your aquarium. Although I understand why it is illegal I believe that someone who has a native fish and treats it with a broad spectrum medication to ensure it's healthy before releasing it should be ok. Then again there is the fear of what if it has a parasite or illness not native to fish populations in the wild and you transfer it. Plus a hefty fine if you get caught. lol I would appreciate it, but you are a ways' away from me lol. Maybe you can get TBTB to drive up and take it to his catfish fortress lol.

I will trade you a 12 inch non pellet trained flathead for any size that eats anything but live lol. I have one and it is the most stubborn fish ever.
