catfish for a 10-15 gallon tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think it's going to raise the water forty degrees! That would have to be a pretty strong heater. Maybe others can chime in here -- I don't have a lot of experience with putting tanks in cold places.

Pd that 55 should be just fine in your room. your tank would freeze in the garage. even with the heater. my heater struggled to keep my tank at 82 degrees, that was until it broke.

ok

Ok. Thank you for the help everyone. YOU ALL have been VERY helpful!!!! Well we can keep this theard going or not. But im gonna talk to dad in the moring about setting up the tank in my room!!!! I how he understands what all you have said..... So i can't figure out the picture thing but when i do, I will put some pics up!

send me some pics of your tank. i will post them for you

raphael catfish could work in 10 gall too, get a small one, they take ages to grow, but you may find them boring. They hide all the time and active only when the lights are out.
The fish guy in my lfs told me that they have an 8" raphael, I ordered them, its coming on this wed, lets see if his telling me the truth.
Rhaphael looks awesome when they're big, but would need a larger tank, 30-40 perhaps.

yes, granted the raphael being a striped which get larger. but in my opinion i prefer the spotted raphael which in my opinion is far more appealing. i kept a striped raphael for a while and was an extremely active fish, but in my opinion my rphael was to active for a catfish! my petco, granted their service is next to nothing do have some good looking striped raphael and a could fairly large ones at that!

Ok!!! I'm so pumped for this!!!! He said that him and I, would build a shelf-like object that the tank will fit on, it will be tied in to the wall to help with a little more surrport. We might start it soon!

That's great! So it's going to go in your room?

If you are planning on getting a 55g set up Raphael Cats are pretty nice looking :) and they make croaking sounds too haha
