Catfish ID please (TSN sp?)

Believe it. It´s a TSN.
I´m far from expert in catfish (unlike others that confirmed the ID) but have no doubts.
My lfs has several exactly the same as this one with 2-3".

If you look at the dorsal fin - it is not relevant if it is extended or not - you can see some dots. Sorubim´s don´t have them.

At least in my country the price is a giveaway for any doubts. A small TSN will cost around 9-10 euros (13-14USD) and a small Sorubim (lima or elongatus we only know later) will cost at least 2-2,5x more (strating at 22-25 euros, so around 30-34USD)

Call it what you like. I think it's nice how you work on a buddy system. "Authority of the knowledgeable" - gotta be kidding me. Clearly you did not read my previous post.

I've read all your posts. I did call it what I liked. And it'd be the best if all did that and only that and not attack the opinions of others like you started and like I did, in error, consequently. My fault, clearly.

It's a buddy system, sure, but we strive to be fair, not twist the truth for the sake of double standards. You are new here. Your ID was wrong. And that's okay, nothing to worry about.

Your attitude appeared off - that was the "seeming" problem. Jsodwi didn't ask you what you thought of his input, why open your mouth then and characterize his words? (I'll be the first to admit I do it sometimes too and I'd appreciate if someone showed me my wrong when that happens.) OP is the only one with questions. Now, I am choosing to think you were just bored or playful and not derisive and not insolent and I apologize for my being harsh and hard. I hope you will find it in your heart to forgive me.

You did provide some interesting and non-shallow analysis, which I thought was a good, earnest, useful-for-others-to-see try.

When you are here long enough, you will see this is not an unfair buddy system but we support each other when we are attacked wrongly. I'd tell Wednesday, Justarn, jsodwi, and Co. if I thought they were wrong just the same. But I do know them better though.
