Weather loaches and kuhli loaches are often used as feeders in most places.

Certainly not a loach. I have never seen one like that registered as a loach.

They dont do it around here.
 
They are easy to breed and mass produced in Asia.

Correct!! Used to be in the genus Parauchenoglanis,been changed for a couple of years now,commonly known as the dwarf Giraffe catfish,theres a similar secies in the same genus known as Guttatus.
