Catfish in Cichlid Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you want cats try Synodontis or an armored cat.

synodontis will probably be fine. armored will probably have their eyes eaten

i have two 4 lined cats in with my africans without any problems. they do not nip at them at all. and the catfish are right at home. i would try feeding the africans heavy and give the cat plenty of hiding places and it may increase your chances of success.

what kind of africans do you have.... that will make the difference...

I have two Pictus Cats in mine, None of the others come even close to attacking them.

i have a load of bristlenose with mine.
no probs except with albino ones.

orangespot or normal seem to work best.

My two synodontis are fine with my Kenyi and thier multitude of babies. I was told that the synodontis naturally cooexist with malawis and seems to be true in my tank. I have tall lace rocks leaning against hte back of my tank and they kinda hover in there all day but are comfetable going to town when the lights go down. Plus the leopard syno. are nice looking

with an electric blue in the tank that is a BIG "if"

You know, the Blue so far, and I've had him since Monday, is doing pretty good. He only ate my test Zebra Dainos (Which I knew would happen), and the catfish has chased him a couple times.
