Catfish in Cichlid Tank

bristlenose have worked with my red emp colony, red fin kadangos, peacocks, and yellow labs
also synodontis featherfin catfish work well too.

had a zebras rip off a fin of a synodontis. now he swims in circles.

I am currently growing out a 5 some of syno multipunctatus for my hap/peacock tank.I would reccomend syno epturus or somthing along those lines pretty inexspensive and can take care of their oun in a tank with mbunas.

Not all Africans are created equal and in my experience some just have nasty dispositions. The only catfish I've had longterm success with Africans have been different types of synodontis. Even then, my featherfins are like giant, battle-scarred submarines.

The catfish is doing great. But whenever I feed my fish frozen brine shrimp the catfish damn near eats the whole cube.

i don't think so, check my tank....,the catfish goes well with all the africa cichlids 'cause they come into my tank at the same time....

I've had what petsmart refers to as an "african featherfin" cat with mine with no problems at all. But there is a common pleco in with them that get pecked all the time.
