Back in the day I have a tiger shovel nose catfish and I didn’t realise where all my fish were going until one day 3 fish went missing and there he was laying on his side with the biggest belly and then it hit me.
Since then I’ve never kept catfish ( apart from pelcos )

im just wondering if there are any catfish out there that don’t eat other dish

I might be lining myself up here but I’ve never researched it

Not very specific there, are you talking a specific size range? Assuming more predatory based? Pretty much all catfish all gonna be predatory asside from Cory’s. What fish do you have?

No particular size or preference, I am not looking to purchase I was just wondering if there were any sort of catfish apart from pelvis and corys that will not want to feast on other fish

Most Synodontis cats have very small mouths and could only eat the tiniest of fish if they wanted to but most of them are scavenging bottom feeders.

Raphael cats get my vote. They get up to 8-9 inches (6-7 is more common) and won’t touch another fish. Only things at risk would need to be less than an inch.
Mine about a year ago at about 3 inches.

Banjo cats, rafaels, most syno cats, portholes, hoplo, bumble bee cats

Try some doradids from the Rhinodoras genus. They are very peaceful to other tankmates, and they work well in medium sized aquariums.

For larger aquariums try other doradids like Oxydoras niger, Pterodoras granulosus, or megalodoras uranoscopus.

What I am trying to say is that most, if not all, doradids are very peaceful.
