Catfish that WON'T Hog food?

Any comments on how a school of pictus catfish would do? How aggressive of feeders are they? I really like them because they are active, and stay out and about like corys. I'm not a huge fan a catfish that hide constantly. (ahem, bumblebee catfish!)

Well hang on a second there man, I have an Asian bumblebee catfish (Pseudomystus siamensis) and he literally NEVER hides! He's always out cruising the tank, he top feeds, he hand feeds, and he's very sociable with his tankmates!

Sorry, I should have specified, I had one of the little African bumblebee catfish. All he ever did was eat tankmates at least 3/4 his own size at night and hide.

How would upside down catfish do, in a small group? I only had one before that I inherited from someone else, and I know they prefer to be in groups, but at least as a singleton he was very passive at feeding time, at least compared to all my loaches! Any other passive synos?

I used to but moved him due to how he would shoot across the tank with no regard for the bichirs, crashing into them clumsily and getting real pushy during feeding

I was thinking of having like a group of 3 -4 with them.
