corn is generally what catches me all mine so adding a thickening jsut makes a bgi ball of corn and it gets hit like crazy on catfish, carp, tench, and suckers
Are you boat fishing or shore fishing? Dip baits work well good scent dispertion and dont need to knead it onto the hook just need a spongy matrix on the hook. Chum is pretty good for bringing them in though.
ok I will tell you another one take a pack of cheap hot dogs cut each hotdog into 4-5 peices take a tupperware container with a good lid then mix up a packet of sweetened cherry koolaid and let that sit in the fridge at least over night longer is better and then just take a pioece and hook in the O side of the bait and you will catch alot with this method have caught them up to 7 lbs on this bait .... might not be HUGE but if they are there you will stay busy
How about fishing in a large pond for bullheads?
I got the fishing bug so I've decided to go tomorrow and since the lakes are gonna be so bussy I don't think I'll have much luck there.
I need something quick, easy, and that will stay on the hook.
Also what type of sinkers/line set up do you use for catfish?
CORN! I fish in a pond in sacramento and catch like 40 bullheads an hour on 2-3peices of corn. I eventually stop trying and just go for carp and I still get them!
