caught a florida gar

Except large alligator gars Then tie it in a lasso and hold on .

(Gars are nosey and if you scent it with a bait spray all the better)

Cool. I've seen several huge gar, at least 3 feet, (don't know what species they could be) swim past the boat while bass fishing on Lake Norman here in NC. Gars are true monster fish for sure.

i was fishing along a canal yesterday and saw probably the largest florida gar I've ever seen. It was around 3 feet and really fat, i wanted to catch it but i was using 10 lb monofilament line and it would of either broke the line or bit right through it. My friend had 30 lb line and he followed it down the canal and got it on the line a few times but it spit the hook every time. I caught a 20" gar that day too.

Nice! Next time you catch a 10" or smaller gar let me have it I want one for my tank. If it doesnt go in yours...

idk if ill get one that small but you know they have ones that size at big als right now
