caught these suckers today

how are they adjusting to tank life? they nervous/skittish at all?

Nice catch. Be careful with that oscar though. those guys can be quite aggressive in smaller tanks!

What temp is your tank? I thought sunfish needed cooler water??

sunfish do need a bit cooler water(around 70) or they wont live for very long,i know ive had plenty and have one as of right now actually,they are pretty agressive and love to eat feeders,you'd be surprised how much they like em haha,when I feed mine as soon as I open the lid he waits for me,if you'd like Ill get a pic,also with the sunfish they will only take a few days to get adjusted to the tank,although your tank is pretty small for that many.

nice common bluegill and longear sunfish, they do like cooler water but will live in warmer water. How else do you think they make it through summers in shallow ponds and creeks? My two sunfish Peewee and Piggy are doing fine in 78 degree water and sometimes rises to 80

also when it comes to eating they are hellacious eaters, mine like rosies, goldfish, nightcrawlers and even got him eating some shrimp pellets. I think they have the most character out of all the fish it will get to know you very quick. I have even successfully spawned mine out but only 6 survived

i know the tank is small but they are absolutly not goin in my 90 gal gt tank
