I was never mentioned lake trout being rare, I was talking about Great Lakes whitefish/cisco species that can be found in Great Lakes only and they are rare.fugupuff;3134058; said:From a zoogeographical perspective, lake trout are quite rare. They are native only to the northern parts of North America, principally Canada but also Alaska and, to some extent, the northeastern United States. The southern extreme of the Lake trout's range extends into southern New York at Kensico Reservior where a self sustaining population has existed since the 1950's. Lake trout have been introduced into many other parts of the world, mainly into Europe but also into South America and certain parts of Asia. In Canada, approximately 25% of the world's lake trout lakes are found in the province of Ontario. Even at that, only 1% of Ontario's lakes contain lake trout.
they've been introduced around the world, not going extinct anytime soon, and why is it ok to introduce fish to other parts of the world?

and really you've heard someone died from colliding with one? i've heard someone die from driving a car so what should we do?

Too bad, some invasives are still terrible. I cant stand of Asian lady beetles and Zebra mussels. So everyone should entitled their opinions, not open up their eyes, sorry man.fugupuff;3134105; said:i agree, zebra mussells are terrible on the economy thus far, like the other guy said, eventually, everything on this planet will balance itself out one way or another. they've been all over Europe for centuries...
what i'm trying to say is that Americans need to open up their eyes and see the world around them. whether its snakeheads, piranhas, grass carps, their not nearly as terrible as some make them sound. "we" humans often make bigger mistakes, and now we blame these animals for it.
