wow, you are pathetic, your year here was wasted, you are not very observant.

My point is, if you have illlegal fish, and you are repsonsible, you do not release them into the wild, have you really hurt anybody..............I think not

Hey why the pessimism its not needed, seriously chill the f out. He caught it then disposed of it in a proper manner that should be good enough.

perfectly, you like to call people names, it is crystal clear

You posted a piranha that YOU caught in Florida, if you really thought we had a chance of losing the fish we can keep, why did YOU post an obvious fish that will draw lots of attention.

You should have not posted it, therefore not inflaming an already delicate situation..............crystal clear?

I sure did, I was utterly surprised to see it at the end of my line. I posted the fish because I felt it was a discussable thread, without it getting to the point it has now been taken thanks to you and your buddy Gangsta, you know the guy that youre sticking up for? I also figured that the attention derived from this thread would show some of our members how important it is to not dump animals in non native eco systems. So yes I wanted it to draw lots of attention, because this stuff is an all common theme in Fl and I would like it to end so I dont lose my collection because of someone else's irresponsibility. So if im inflaming it so be it, but I think this thread has already taken the incorrect course. So thank you for your input have a great night.

Well I guess I shouldn't take any advice from you since you suggest such stupid things. This is why we had to worry about 669. THe author should not have kept the fish. he did the responsible thing. This is the exact reason we cannot have SH anymore because of idiots who release exotics.

You totally did the right thing. OF course if I killed every exotic I caught I would get arresed for being into some strange cult. "This dude keeps catching fish and throwing them on the bank He caught 100 mayan and Tilapias.... and just tossed them on the shore flopping around"

Don't know how literal your being here, but just in case: you should cut the fish's spine just under the head with a knife, angling the tip as if you were aiming for it to come out of the fish's mouth. ( Your a fisherman so you probably already know this, I'm writing it mostly for any kids potentially reading this.) It's sad that they have to be killed because its not the fish's fault it ended up in the wrong ecosystem. So when it has to be done, they should at least get a quick death. A good hard rock will do it pretty fast too.

Thanks I actually be headed the animal, quick and simple I really wanted to keep the jaw to look at it more closely. I had never seen a piranha in the flesh so I wanted to get a look at the chompers once the fire ants got through with the skull.

A cooler full of ice is also quick. But i recommend a trout priest to take them out quick and bloodless.

I actually never directly called anyone any names, I spoke about mindsets and trolling, you however went to call someone pathetic....hmmm

Might hurt the ecosystem a little as well. ;)

That would be exactly what is disastrous to the hobby. Enough idiots dumping their piranha into Florida waterways results in an established population. The established population gives them more ammo for a sweeping ban on imported fish. Despite the fact that Florida's ecosystem is decimated already, the establishment of the piranha, a fish that is feared as a "man killer" would make enough headlines to be extraordinarily detrimental to the hobby.
