Big Al's. They price-match and beat the competition by 5%. Just call them and tell them where you found it cheaper online :D

In theory, sumps aren't the best for a planted tank ... got plants???

I did back with that setup at one point (Pic link below). It was just to much work and I prefer my monsters... I was always trimming and picking dead pieces out of the filter inlets.

I do have a couple small plants in my big tank now just to help with Bio filtration mainly but it has a sump and a drip system as well. I am guessing with this setup plants won't really thrive especially since I don't use ferts or CO2 either. Hadn't really thought about it until now.

What type of plant is that -that has jaggedy long stalks like grass? It sorta looks like java but not really???

Crinum natans. Grows reeeeeeeeeaaaaaally slow, but forms bulbs of 1.5'' in diameter and looks real nice once established.

Nice tank
I also have a drip and I actually inject ferts right into the incoming water, together with dechlorinator. :)

thats a great idea.. fresh and sweet in your tank.. always love your planted tanks too... they are so healthy and lush.

Oh man , Hard core ! 2 eheim 2262 :) And a drip system. What nitrate level did you arrive at with the drip and what flow rate did you end up going for GPH wise on the drip system ?

Nitrates rose back to 50 ppm when I had drip @ 1 gal/h. Now I am @ 3 gal/h, and nitrates are at tap water levels (20 ppm)

Awesome. I got the materials to set mine up. Now I just need the time lately. :irked:

Can I run this on a 90 gallon cichlids tank?
It'll create a certain current in that size tank, but you can diffuse that by widening the holes in the spray bar, for example
