Good point.

Only Caymen Bracs, and that is still a grey area because the Caymen Bracs may not even be real Bracs............As long as they aren't on the ESA, Interstate Travel is not affected.......CITIES has nothing to do with that, as we have many animals that are common in captivity that are CITIES 1, ICUN red listed, and on and on, that can travel across state lines. If it's on the ESA, it either needs to be "gifted", or sent to a CBW Permit holder if money or "value" exchanges hands.......

Exactly, but I wasn't about to type a dissertation on it over my phone hahahaha

i think if there is a cool reptile that needs to be saved, they should give 6 of them to tom crutchfeild and have him breed the heck out of them.

Why Tom Crutchfield? There are so many more people that have just as much experience and know how, but don't want to be known to the general public.......

Because the AZA doesn't want the animals to be "commercialized".......Even though the offer has been put out to bring the animals in private hands, breed them, and donate the offspring back to any potential stud book/breeding program.........And alot of the animals are still property of their respective Governments, and they have the say as to what is to be done with the animals...........Meanwhile, the new gene flow is slowly rotting away, and alot of those animals are considered un-breedable because they are un-socialized and don't understand the group dynamic......

Who is the AZA?

Thank you Logan.

Tom would do it on a large scale, market them and make them very common. then they would trickle out to other breeders that would start to breed them and eventually reduce the price. Nearly everything in the states (herp wise) starts out with tom before it gets to other breeders.

You're kidding yourself if you think that...........I think Tom would even laugh at that........Ask him and see what he says........
