CB Congis graduate to the big tank

Thx, one of the LFS a few years back brought in a shipment of fish from Africa, most were cichlids but they had a batch of laps. I was fortunate to get this one. It was 7" at time of pick up. Now it is 18/19". Contrast is much better than my "pure" green monster

Is it an oddball looking nigerian lap? Any more side pics. It's a dark specimen.

It is a WC Nigerian. I will find some better pictures tonight It has been very dark since day 1. Even when I was running a light pure PFS substrate

Thx, I am hoping to get a picture of them next to either my big weeksii or my hog endi. That will show two things, one the size diff and two how foolish I may be for introducing them this soon.

How are the CB Congis doing?

The two cb's are doing well, one is 7.5" and the other 8" (4.5" when I got them early December) both have sprouted external gills. What is interesting is how they constantly stick together. Where one goes the other follows and they always make their own Bichir pile . The endi I got at the same time continues to out pace them in growth and is now over 10.25"
