have a mod move this to the hybrids forum... if they are a pair once they get to breeding size one will kill the other due to claustrophobia....

:grinno:

there the only 2 occupents in the 29 by the way. so will they be good fo a few months to 6 months??

I'd get them in a bigger tank ASAP. You don't want them stunted, and there's the threat voss already brought up.

well right now my JD and texas are a pair, right. well the texas is a male i persume and his tube is showing and its viewable from my bed but the JD tube isnt showing but tey sure act as a pair!
so are they a pair? they following eachother around alot. the female JD sumtimes chases the texas but then they get back togther. so ya i guess time will tell. im just hoping they breed!

Greed?

oooooooook i just wierd i just checked my tank again and one of my smaller texxas tube is also showing but always getting chased bt the male texas. so should i just get rid of my female JD and go with the texas PAIR?

Cichlids interacting with eachother? Doesn't mean they're a pair.

Seriously though, your fish are probably too small to breed. Texas will show breeding colouration if it's coming on; tube dropping is perfectly natural regardless of the onset of breeding or not. Please refrain from making a new post on here daily commentating the state of your overstocked fish tank.

you should get rid of them all as your tank is too small for a texas pair and JD unless you now have the 55 you have talked about.
