As of today I've picked out 12 bad eggs so far. When the male decided not to fertilize them about half were bad by this time. Hopefully he got to some knowing that only a few went bad so far.Angelfish get better at fertilizing and caring for their fry with practice. The more often they spawn, the more productive it'll be. No need to use fungicides, or to pick out unfertilized eggs, the parents will do that. Consider the first spawning their practice run. They'll have fresh eggs again shortly.
Their first spawn in my tank wasn't their first one. I bought them as a breeding pair, so they've done it at least once before. Another reason I knew it wasn't their first was because of the spawn size. It wasn't as big as most first spawns.Angelfish get better at fertilizing and caring for their fry with practice. I'm hoping the male at least got to a few, because so for none have hatched and 2/3 are white. How are the eggs doing?
