me and a buddy were in a canoe all drunk one morning and ended up tipping into the middle of the lake. We were swimming for a GOOD 30 minutes draggin the canoe and ourselves to shore. My cell phone didnt work for a week and a half then all of a sudden it worked again until 2 weeks ago. It was July when that happened so it paid off to wait for it to dry. I got a new razor for $260 bucks... One thing that will happen if it does work again is that the internals will start to rust away, thats what eventually happened to mine
I tried the rice thing and the oven thing, first the oven then the rice, put the battery in and it turned on, I was even able to make a call, but while the call was going out, it told me that I had received 4 text messages (not uncommon), then it switched to speaker

I'm hoping that when I go to the alltel store today that they can get the numbers off.
I have like 260-280 numbers and the last time I backed up my contacts was like 14 months ago when I got the phone.

A week? Who can go without a phone for a week, I'm at college with no land line... LOL
I called the insurance, they cover water damage, stupid $95 deductible because it's a "high end" model, v3m... jerks. Won't have the new one until wednesday, I sure hope they can save my contacts............
