I know, these have become my favorite fish for sure. Thinking of getting a couple belize red heads from Dan at COA but we will see.

Here's a pic of what I assume to be a female and his future partner. They show quite a bit of interest in each other. The other 3 females are a bit smaller and not quite as colorful yet but here shows a difference in the color in my male and this possible female. This fish is just a tad smaller then my male.
Added some red head synspilum/melanura and some heterospila to the tank. All fish seem to be doing well so far. I'll be getting rid of a few of the smaller melanura and I also moved the sajica to a 90 gallon. I'll be posting a new video soon.
Your fish look great man. Where did you get the heterospila if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks much, I appreciate it. I got the heterospila from a guy that lived out by me. They're from his breeding pair. He has a lot actually. He's a nice fish keeping friend to have. He has quite the stock and selection of nice fish.
It's red flint pool filter sand. 8 bucks for a 50 pound bag from a pool supply store

Ya I was actually going to order some heterospila and his belize red head synspilum from him but his overnight shipping was way too high. 98 dollars for one box. That's crazy. Just got overnight shipping from rapps for 55 dollars. Rapps has always provided amazing fish to me so I'll be sticking with him for the most part. I'll post a video of all the fish tonight. It's looking like my melanura have paired up as well so they're starting to show some cool behavior and intense colors. I actually just moved my heterospila into my 90 for now with my sajica and balzanii so they wouldn't get beat up by the more aggressive fish in my bigger tank. It was getting a bit crowded in there too. I'll be getting my 300 in less than a month so they will go back into that tank with all the other Vieja at that time so there's much more space for them. There will be heterospila, melanura lago peten, vieja maculicauda, Argentea, and red head synspilum in the 300. It'll be pretty awesome
