Challenging order from the Wetspot

Wow they’re looking great. Never heard of these being kept successfully long term, let alone being bred consistently.

Do you think I could raise some on daphnia or moina rather than live bbs?

Sorry for the late reply tbh I think this species mouth is too small for adult daphnia. They may eat the baby daphnia but never tried feeding daphnia. Moina never considered trying them. I almost added scuds but they will probably prey on the fry. They thrive on mosquito larvae in the wild.

Well, I guess I won’t be keeping them. Admire your dedication!

Challenging day!!!
The heater stopped heating. Thought it was functioning until I noticed the stick on thermometer displayed a reading of 69 instead of 75. I panicked and placed a old heater in but didn't allow enough time for the heater glass before plugging it in. The heater exploded good thing I didn't leave to go to work. My Daughter went and purchased a new heater and I gave her instructions to let the heater sit for atleast 20 minutes prior to plugging it in. I don't know if they will survive but will see.
I also placed a bottle with calcium chloride and water in the aquarium before leaving to work.

Update the pipefish survived and no losses. They are eating and very active. I'm wandering if it gets cool sometimes where they were collected. I'm not going to set the heater at 65 degrees. Did a little research and it gets cold in some parts of Southeast Asia.
