Could someone explain to me what they mean by this ?

**Channa lucius (Splendid Snakehead) should not be kept in aquariums smaller
than 2/3 of the species size.**

Thx.

A wild guess would be 2/3 was supposed to mean 2 to 3 times the size(length) of the fish... probably still too small but I dunno crap about channa...

I'm 99% sure that's a typo. What they meant was "should not be kept in aquariums WITH FISH smaller than 2/3 of the species size" because it will eat them. 55g is too small. These fish reach 16" and it wouldn't even be able to turn around in a 55g

Any Size suggestions ?

you could probably get away with a standard 75gal 48''x18'' as they are very inactive. i have a 7-8'' lucius in a 90gal atm and he spends 99% of the day hiding in one end of the tank

Mines around the same in size and behaiviour, he's in a 55g tank with my oscar, most of the day he hangs around the surface near my plants and bog wood. Rescently he's started to bury himself in the gravel.
