Tropheus was on the money again.
They bred again this time 4-500 eggs were laid 99.9% hatched and both broods are mixing together happily,no signs of aggression or cannabalism between groups.......yet

Well in 30 blah blah years of keeping fish I have never had a pair of anything breed while they are still raising a brood:grinno:

Still, I aint complaining, is all good innit?

:)

Hi,
first congrats to breed Pulchra. I got my own 2 Pairs an both breed sucessfull serveral times.
Pulchra is one of the amazing breeding Channa ever.
One Pair keept the eggs under the surface as in your pictures, the other one keept them into a cave. Both pairs of my do level breeding, they breed and breed like an never ending story. The breeds are ignoreing each other as long as there will be enough food.
Due to the reason that one of my tank get leak in one corner where the water rans out. I had to dissambely this tank, transfer the paar into a box an put the frey to the other tank with the second pari and there fry. Also those fry from an other tank and foreign pair Pulchra no aggression. So i rised 600 Pulchra. Most end as an snack for my Pleuros, cause here in Germany so many people got Pulchra to breed that the market is full.
I will link some of my Pictures soon.

best Regards

gorgeous. I'm setting up my tank again and use to love keeping snakeheads. I haven't seen whats on sale here recently but will hopefully be able to breed some
