cheap black tank background?

I use on almost all my tanks thick black construction paper and then use electric tape to keep it on.

Dollar store acrylic paint (for crafts). Apply it with a paint roller. Peels off super easy.

the dollar store has large sheets of black construction paper for.........one dollar each. You'll probably spend 2 dollars.

Black spray paint. $1 a can at Lowes.

Go to home depot and ask for a sample can of paint they can make any color for u and it cost 3 dollars. Its latex paint so it will peel right off if you want to change it. Each sample can will have more than enough to paint a 60 gal

+1 Just plasti-dipped my 55 gallon and it looks great. I needed 1 & 1/2 cans for the job. It's really easy to peel off too if you decide you don't like it.

I did my 55 with plastidip one can about 6 coats
