One other thing I thought of. Since it sounds like you need to do something quick, stop by Petsmart tomorrow. They have some "natural looking" cave pieces for a pretty decent price ($7 I think). I forgot about them since I took them out of my tanks awhile back. In the photo I posted, on the left side, you can see the end of one of the pieces.

Matter of fact, if you're not in a huge hurry, PM me your address and I'll mail it to you tomorrow.

I was actually contemplating that piece. haha, I appreciate the offer to ship it to me but i'd hate for you to have to bother, i may pick one up as a temporary fix tomorrow

the good thing is the fish aren't harming each other, and the sen stopped being a jerk when i went after him with a net :naughty:

Yes, I often threaten my bully fish that if they don't behave, "don't make me get the net."

It's yours if you want it. I mail stuff at work all the time so it's no problem. But, it might be a few days before it got there. They have some nice resin driftwood root structures and even some resin holey rock. I know, I think I have bought them all lol.

The pieces Maverick posted look nice too. A few plants around any resin structure looks really good IMO.

I have one of the R-Zilla caves sitting in my basement in the "I may need this one day tote". I don't think it's resin. If it is it's heavy as ....

I've been debating on getting some PVC, and covering the outside with silicone or super glue, then using sand to decorate the outside to make it look more "natural." Kind of like in school when you would put down glue, then cover it in glitter!

ARTS N CRAFTS FTW!

Thanks for posting the pleco caves website ... those things are awesome and very reasonably priced !!! ill be be getting me some of them... THANKS !!!

Hey NC,

You're creative...could you get some rocks or slate and build your own cave structure? That's what I did with stuff I found in my yard :) If you don't have anything around, most any landscape store will have damaged or loose rocks you can haul away.

One of our local club members has her own business making caves. I assume it's OK to post her site here. It may give you some ideas if you decide to make something less structural: www.plecocaves.com

If you don't mind looks, go for PVC pipes
