petco was having a sale buy the 55g "all glass aquarium"tank get the stand free, with hoods and lights for $159 new. then i got my 150g w/stand,glass hoods, and lights for 400. i was happier then a dog in a hubcap factory

what, was this a nationwide sale?!? My petco only stocks tanks up to 75g, and only included up to 55g in the $1 a gallon sale last week

Got a 120G with hood and lights for $40. The tank was really scratched on the inside, tho', so I've never set it up. The glass is 1/2" thick at least. Can it get buffed out somehow and still be usable, or did I just get a hood and lights (which is, in fact, in service to my OTHER 120 which I got used for $270 including oak stand, canister filter, gravel, bubble air tube thingy (?)and a painted turtle, 5" pleco and 8" large mouth bass - who immediately died.) Anyone?

Most scratches in glass can either be buffed out or repaired with a liquid compound HOWEVER.... the scratches on the inside of the glass are usually unnoticable once the tanks filled....just check the silicone seals...reseal if necessary...and test fill it to see how it looks. Use the worst serface as the back.

i got a 75gal free plus all equipment that went with a sw setup sold the live rock to lfs for $200 in store credit. So i actualy made $200 in this deal

Some guy moving gave me 150 gal,4 29 gal,75 gal 2 mag hob ehiem 2227 and tons of other equipment for 100.00 Then move to cali called me and said i forgot to give you more tanks go look on the back porch i found 2 more 29 and another 75 all setups with stand filters.Ended up selling some on ebay and made 800.00

Some guy near me bought me a case of beer ($24 for a 12 up here) for taking his 518 gallon glass aquarium. It was a saltwater tank in the '86 world expo in Vancouver, had a pump, fliter, chiller, stand, all it needed was a new canopy, and a re-seal.
