Check out my 120Gal Stand

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i hope your not serious about 400.00

Well without my Finish plywood mistakes, Id say around 250-300. In retrospect I shouldve used 3/4" instead of 1/2" as 3/4" is more widely used an cheaper. Plus Lowes stuff is higher priced than HDepot an only lowes had 1/2" .

I couldve built it cheaper but I wanted to make sure thered be no catastrophy once the tank was on it an filled.

This was my first attempt at building a stand.

Heres the inner frame,(Ithink i made it a lil beefier than needed) all 2x4 an 2x6.

I put a 3ft Fluorescent Fixture on the inside. long with a duplex GFI recepticale attached to a 10Ft grounded Extention cord an 2 6 plug power strips(1 on each side). An added 3/4 plywood on the top an back.

I sheeted it with 1/2" cabinet grade oak plywood, an oak boards for the Trim around the top bottom an corners.

I put 10 coats of Satin Poly on the outside Which got it to the color I wanted it.

An I installed a bit of 1/2" PVC on the inside an comming out the back for my air system.
