Black sewing thread has never failed me in the past. By the time the thread dissolves, the plants have long since taken root firmly.

Tank looks great Joey. I just picked up a few Java Ferns for my Orinos and attached them to driftwood. I really really like the look of it. Can't wait until it settles in and really takes off.

BTW, got any updated full tank shots? Lord know I never get tired of looking

Thanks. I have several photos in my photo album. Click on the link on my sig =-)

looks great.. i think i may do this with my next setup.. i have java moss now and my cichla love it.. they swim threw it and lay on it lol.. i have a bunch of big babies

I love it :)

Other than what was already said.. You can also start the effect with Plastic grate... I see many moss walls done this way and after it fills in you never know it is there....

Looking good R1. I always wondered how you got that on your Drift wood. I have tried with no success I guess I need to give it another try. I may try Tongues approach as well!

Do it man you'll like it. Just use fishing line (clear or black). Make sure you don't put to much at once. I've found that using just thin strips of moss works better than trying to tie down a lump bush all at one. This way the moss will grow into the wood faster. Also once it acclimates to your water condition it will just grow. I was nervous at first because it didn't look like it was growing at all. But now since it's settled in my bush is spreading.

Sweet! I`m playing around with plants in my cichla tank and have java moss tied to a slate pile. I`m going to tie it off to some of my driftwood as well.
