btw i'd say get rid of the oscar but it should happen naturally soon enough....

Why is that? The three fish are compatible together and are often tankmates.

Okay, read the thread some more.

Yeah, definitely upgrade your tank. A fourty gallon wouldn't hold an Oscar very long. For a single Oscar you would want a tank of a standard 55 gallon. With tank mates you'll want a larger tank.

Dude... WHY!?

For an oscar and a jack 120g min, the bigger the better. FH 75g

I agree but I'd bump the FH tank size up to 90. But 75 would be fine.

i'm anti oscar... i won't get into it too much but they are the rodents of the cichlid world... anyways, minimum 55 gallon for oscar?? 75 gallon with decor...this comes up alot on this site i notice... do you guys like to keep your fish in bare tanks??? you should have a cave, some drift wood, and at least fake plants... cichlids love that stuff....
now even though i don't like oscars it doesn't mean i don't think they shouldn't have a nice, clean home...

I have a 7 in JD. How can I tell if its a male or female? I hope to breed him/her.

Dude don't jack his thread. Go start your own and someone will answer your questions.
