i built a small one of these out of a 2.5 gallon all glass tank and it connects two ten gallon aquariums and yes i have a magnum 350 sucking water out of one and putting it into the other creates a nice current and to clean i simply turn the filters off vaccum ousome water drain the bridge and take it to the sink to clean it easy as pie heres a pic sorry need better camera only bad thing is that they dont make tops for this so you have to improvise just stirred up gravel before i took pic will get better clean tank shot

by the way clear pvc is expensive for large diameter i checked wanted to run between two rooms but will have to find a different way to do it
