He's an L024 and I scored him from a local breeder for only $15 which is a steal considering he's about 5".

It was captive bred? A steal? I'll say! I think that $150 is more about their current price. I assume they didn't know what it was then?

Local breeder but not of these.. other cichlids. I went over to see what he had because he said he was getting out of the biz after 30yrs. He said he had a 'red fin pleco' that was rare and said he'd take $15 for him. When I saw it I knew I wanted it. I only but three fish but two of the three were rare fish I had been on the lookout for and was excited to find locally. They were also not fish he raised but just two random fish he had in his tanks. Not sure of the origin of either one.
