Yes that sounds about right thanks, I knew it was a common turtle and not a red eared slider, just wasn't sure the exact one. Lol...here's some more pics of what we caught ;-)

Should see the carp where i am in my local river... Toss a peice of break on a hook and you have a 10pound or more on your line... every time...
 
Bummer I wanna know whether mine is male or female...and as for the carp, that's exactly what we do, bread on the hook and it was a pretty big guy and quite the fighter, but they are more cautious here they get spooked eaaily and some of the other fish might be chasing them away. Surprisingly the bluegills and pumpkinseeds are the most aggressive ones I've seen.
 
The eels I took home are about 5-6 inches about the size of a pencil...but I have seen them get over a foot long, and they are quite sociable and very skilled escape artists! Lol
