We got ourselves a real river monster last night!!!! Here is an over 10lb pacu we caught with some bread at about 3:00 am...sorry the picture quality sucks my phone was dying so there wasnt good lighting plus the fish kinda beat himself up in the dirt a bit...also here's one of my eels I took home. It was a little hard to get a picture of him too he doesn't stay still ;-)

Very curious to see more pacu being caught in northern states. Three caught in CT in the last ten years that i remember seeing, and ive heared of other states......how do they survive the winters?......pretty crappy to see people just dumping fish

I have no idea what else could have been dumped there. The only things that don't belong there are the Koi and the pacu...the rest are usually found on long island. But I highly doubt this pond is better than much, I wanna do some noodleing and pull up a huge flathead catfish ;-) lol but I love it the fish are all so happy and healthy looking and I was shocked this pacu is surviving through winters but it has been there for at least 4 years that I know of. It was most likely someone dumped it when they took there tank down and couldn't find homes for their fish...and the Koi probaby outgrew someone's tank or pond same story I'm guessing. And I will post more pics as soon as I can get some more good ones but I'm not a dude...I'm a dudette my name is Jacki ;-)

Oh yea and at Lake Ronkonkoma about a 20 minute drive west of my little pond here, my boyfriend said he caught a piranha there a few years back...I might convince him to take me there for some more "River Monster" action lol
